Child porn in last week's headlines
Tuesday: A Big Brother volunteer charged with sodomizing the child who had been in his care is caught in Washington after a four-month search. In addition to sexual abuse charges, he faces five child pornography counts — three in the sexual exploitation of a minor and two for allegedly dealing in harmful material to a minor.
Wednesday: A Grantsville man — already serving a 35-year sentence in state prison for raping a 15-month-old baby — is given 10 more years in federal prison because he videotaped the attack. His own attorney said the man experimented with pornography on the Internet before stockpiling videotapes and videotaping himself.
Thursday: An East Millcreek man awaits trial on charges he purchased child pornography from undercover agents. Prosecutors say the man paid $179.80 for four CDs with 50 to 70 images of child pornography apiece last October. He faces up to 30 years in prison on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
