Star Trek: Enterprise (7 p.m., Ch. 24): I've tried to like this series. Really. And this episode, which involves Capt. Archer's bout with amnesia, the failure of the mission and alternate timelines, is pretty good. But the fact that so many episodes have been so below-average may explain why I keep forgetting this show is even on.

Smallville (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Clark looks into a 40-year-old murder case and discovers he wasn't the first Kryptonian to visit Earth.

NBA basketball (7 p.m., FSN): Suns at Jazz

A Minute with Stan Hooper (7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): Stan is determined to find a letter-writing fan.

The West Wing (8 p.m., Ch. 5): The president consoles tornado victims while politics in Washington spin out of control.

The O.C. (8 p.m., Ch. 13): School starts.
