City Council Chair Jill Remington Love — "Today's announcement is just the first step in having our Main Street completely redeveloped."

Deeda Seed, Mayor Rocky Anderson's spokeswoman — "It's just a wonderful thing. We are thrilled. Probably nobody else could have pulled it off besides the LDS Church, and they really did a great job and they should be commended. It absolutely changes the feeling about their project."

Alison McFarlane, Anderson's economic development director — "Obviously the city couldn't be more pleased. The city is just thrilled with the news and applaud all the people who put this together."

Redevelopment Agency Board Chairman Eric Jergensen — "They're a great company and have been a great partner for many years. It would have been very sad to see them go."

RDA executive director Dave Oka — "Symbolically it shows a huge commitment to Main Street in downtown Salt Lake. It also shows downtown is a vibrant retail center, and I'm just elated that they are staying and hope that the other retailers take note and start making plans now to be part of the church's big project."
