10 camps may get federal funds

A look at the 10 internment camps where more than 100,000 Japanese-Americans from the West Coast were imprisoned during World War II, along with each camp's peak population.

The camps are expected to become eligible for $38 million in grants for preservation and other activities under a bill signed in December by President Bush.

Arizona: Gila River Relocation Center (13,348); Colorado River Relocation Center (17,814)

Arkansas: Jerome Relocation Center (8,497); Rohwer Relocation Center (8,475)

California: Manzanar Relocation Center (10,046); Tule Lake Relocation Center (18,789)

Colorado: Granada Relocation Center (7,318)

Idaho: Minidoka Relocation Center (9,397)

Utah: Central Utah Relocation Center (8,130)

Wyoming: Heart Mountain Relocation Center (10,767)
