PROVO — The city of Provo has scheduled three public meetings on the future of downtown for this Saturday and for March 22 and April 12.

The purpose of the meetings, which will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center, is to develop a plan to revitalize the downtown area.

The Saturday meeting will build on the work of a prior meeting, held Feb. 16, in which participants listed the current strengths and weaknesses of Provo's downtown.

Participants were also asked to photograph the good and bad features of the area to review at the meeting.

They can send photos by e-mail to the planning consultant or take them to the meeting. More information, including the planning consultant's e-mail address, is available on the Provo city Web site, www.provo.org.
