Visual clutter overwhelming

Is anyone else bothered by the mass proliferation of billboards along I-15 during the last few years? Are others concerned that much of the visual beauty of Utah has been destroyed by the visual clutter?

Each time we travel between St. George and the Wasatch Front, dozens of new billboards have been added — many promoting Nevada businesses! The Utah Office of Tourism is spending millions of dollars promoting the beautiful scenery for which Utah is rightly known. What we now have is overkill and ugliness! The previously unfettered views of Zion National Park peaks coming into St. George are now overwhelmed by ugly billboards.

Where is the political will to stop this visual pollution? Utah's beauty is being sold for a mess of pottage.
