Clinton shot herself in foot
Hillary Clinton says she just "misspoke" when she (on two separate occasions) vividly described risking life and limb while personally dodging sniper bullets in Bosnia. She didn't misspeak — or even "misremember." She fabricated this story about her "photo-op trip" to the troops in Bosnia in order to depict her toughness as a leader and to advance the paper-thin theory that she has a solid record and real experience as a leader in foreign affairs. Unfortunately for her, in the age of YouTube fact-checking, she quickly got caught in the lie and had to acknowledge the story was inaccurate.
William Safire had it right 12 years ago with his point about this former first lady's penchant for prevarications. The only bullets involved were when she shot herself in the foot by trying to pass off this story as the truth.
