Taylorsville event to offer food samples
TAYLORSVILLE — Residents looking to find a new place to eat won't have to go far on Friday to sample the city's restaurants.
Taylorsville, the Taylorsville Exchange Club and the Valley Journals will host the city's first-ever "Taste of Taylorsville" event at 6:30 p.m. at Taylorsville High School, 5225 S. Redwood Road.
At least eight restaurants, including Tammie's Diner, Q4U Bar-B-Que and Schmidt's Pastry Cottage, will bring samples of their food to the school until 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $8 per person, or $20 per family at the door. Coupons for $3 off are available at participating Taylorsville restaurants.
