0-8 Utah Blaze add 2, cut 3
The Utah Blaze signed defensive back Carlton Brown from the practice squad and activated offensive lineman Rob Gatrell from injured reserve on Tuesday. In addition, they waived a couple of players with local ties. Ex-BYU offensive lineman Jake Kuresa and ex-Ute linebacker Corey Dodds. The Blaze also cut two-year veteran defensive lineman John Culp.
Brown has played in three games for the Blaze this season, recording 8.5 tackles and one pass breakup. Gatrell played in six games for Utah last season.
Kuresa and Dodds played sparingly this year as rookies. Kuresa saw action in one game, while Dodds played in two games recording six tackles and one pass breakup.
The 0-8 Blaze travel to New Orleans this week to face the 6-2 VooDoo on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
