Offerings include 'Feelin' Groovy,' Beatles tribute

With spring in the air, it can leave people feeling refreshed, renewed and perhaps a little younger. So, why not take a trip down memory lane?

Whether you want to relive your youth or share what made it so great with your children, there are a couple of options for you this week.

"Feelin' Groovy" opens Friday and runs through June 7 at Rodgers Memorial Theatre, 292 E. Pages Lane, Centerville.

From Motown to doo-wop to good ol' rock 'n' roll, it's a blast to the past to the decade of love and war. Relive the heydays of go-go boots, the British invasion, California surfin'. Trevor Jerome directs, with choreography by Janet Gray.

"Come Together: A Tribute to the Beatles" comes back to Park City's Egyptian Theatre for three nights only, Thursday through Saturday, 328 Main, Park City.

Get your fix of the Fab Four, enjoying songs like "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You." This is an exciting re-creation of the mop-top Beatles early touring years, 1964-1966. With authentic costumes and equipment, you can relive the craze. James Willaman, Chad Saylor, Stephen Marks and Bill Kropinak make up the foursome.

"Cinderella's Waltz Right Inn" opens Friday and runs through June 16 at The Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon.

A lot has happened since Cinderella and Prince Charming were married. Revolution strikes the small country of Galvania, where Cinderella and the Prince live. Cinderella and her teen daughter escape to Cinderella's girlhood home. Her stepmother is now senile, and the stepsisters are still up to no good. Romance and adventure abound!

"The Foreigner" opens Friday and runs through June 9 at The Empress Theatre, 9104 W. 2700 South, Magna.

Ever wish you had someone to share your deepest, darkest secrets but you didn't want it to get around? That's what happens in a fishing lodge of rural Georgia. When Froggy and his friend, Charlie, come to town, they tell everyone that Charlie doesn't speak English, as he's terribly afraid of having to make conversation with strangers. Thinking they're talking to someone who can't understand them, the townsfolk open up to Charlie revealing far more than Charlie even bargained for.
