Thousands of residents in Davis County were without power this morning.

Just before 6 a.m., problems at Rocky Mountain Power's Parrish and Farmington substations resulted in approximately 11,000 customers losing power.

Power was restored for to customers powered by the Parrish substation, located in Centerville just before 7 a.m. and the remaining customers about 20 minutes later.

Rocky Mountain Power spokeswoman Margaret Oler said all the company's equipment acted as it should have once a problem was detected. The cause of the initial problem, however, was still being investigated Friday morning.

A similar outage at the two substation last July left approximately 10,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers without power for about two hours.
