LOS ANGELES — The NBA announced Saturday that Game 2 of the Utah Jazz-Los Angeles Lakers Western Conference semifinal series will be played on Wednesday night, not Tuesday night as it had originally announced.

The game still will be played in L.A., still will start at 8:30 p.m. (MST) and still will be televised by TNT.

Other games in the series remain as originally planned, including Game 3 on Friday night in Utah and Game 4 on Sunday at home as well.

We have no control over it, Jazz point guard Deron Williams said. Whenever they want us to play, I'm ready.

According to an NBA spokesman, the switch is due to a scheduling error that was caught ... quickly by the league.

The change, which was not made known to team officials until Saturday morning, left Jazz officials scrambling to address flight and hotel plans.

Rather than remain in Los Angeles between Games 1 and 2, the team is now returning to Utah immediately after today's game and will fly back to California on Tuesday.
