NASHVILLE — Kendry Morales blasted two home runs to lead the Salt Lake Bees to a 5-1 win over the Nashville Sounds on Monday.

Morales led off the second inning with an opposite field homer to right to put the Bees up 1-0, and he opened the sixth with a drive that cleared the batter's eye in centerfield, as the Bees snapped their three-game losing streak and closed out their Tennessee road trip with a 4-4 record.

Giancarlo Alvarado (3-0) tossed six shutout innings, as he allowed just three hits with six strikeouts and two walks. With this outing, Alvarado extended his scoreless innings streak to 19 games.

Terry Evans had two hits and drove in two runs with a double in the fourth inning, while Bobby Wilson added two hits, including his first home run of the season.

Brad Coon chipped in three hits for the Bees, which now begin an eight-game homestand tonight against Albuquerque and Round Rock, Texas.
