Turn it off, get outdoors and be active, BYU associate professors Pat Vehrs and Susan V. Graser emphasized in a workshop at the BYU Women's Conference Friday.
"Why are we concerned about the physical activity levels of children and adults?" Vehrs asked the audience. Inactivity of children and teenagers affects them as adults, and there is a correlation between inactivity in America's youth and the drastic increase of obesity seen in adults, but most alarmingly, in children.
