Track and field athletes from six in-state schools — Utah, BYU, Utah State, Weber State, Utah Valley and Southern Utah — will compete in the Utah Twilight collegiate challenge meet today.

Today's meet, hosted by the University of Utah, will begin at 1 p.m. with the field events and will be held at East High School's Talley Stevens Outdoor Track Complex — with the exception of the hammer throw, which will be staged at Utah's Guardsman Way Field.

Running events will begin at 4:30 p.m.

"It should be a very good meet," Utah head coach Kyle Kepler said. "All of the in-state schools will be represented. I expect all the field events and the running events — from 1,500 meters on down — to be very competitive if the weather cooperates."

Spectators wishing to attend today's meet should be aware that, due to a movie currently being filmed at East High, the stadium lot will not be available for parking. Thus, spectators should park at the baseball stadium across the street. Parking is limited and carpooling is highly recommended.

Today's meet will serve as a final tuneup for the conference championship meets scheduled May 14-17.
