Constitution is black, white
Instead of addressing the substance of Richard Jensen's comments, Democrat Edward L. Lalone (Readers' Forum, May 8) assigns a negative attitude to Jensen in order to malign his character and prejudice his statements. Mr. Jensen has not "decided to be the sole interpreter of our Constitution." But he does believe (as a great many do) that the Founding Fathers believed in traditional values, while opposing socialism and communism.
Yes, majorities (political parties) may interpret our Constitution differently, but there is a correct and incorrect interpretation. And I do not have to "go with the flow" of the Democrat beliefs. I will vote as I see it.
