TEAM LEADERS
Batting average: Sean McNaughton, .347

Highlights: The Cougars swept Big 12 team Kansas State at home in a two-game series. ... BYU rallied from a 10-0 deficit against Utah, scoring 12 runs in the eighth inning, on 11 singles, to earn a memorable 13-10 victory.

Lowlights: BYU suffered a six-game losing streak and three different five-game losing streaks. It lost both games in the MWC Tournament.

Going: With no seniors on the roster, most of the key contributors return — although this week's major league draft could alter those plans.

Returning: Outfielders Sean McNaughton and Kent Walton, third baseman Steve Parker, shortstop Daniel Vargas, catcher J.T. Musso, second baseman Brandon Relf and first baseman Kasey Ko are among those expected to help the Cougars try to return to their winning ways in 2009.
