PARK CITY — Police will be cracking down on drivers who don't stop for pedestrians here.

The Park City Police Department is launching "Operation Crosswalk." Throughout the summer, plainclothes officers will be using the crosswalks in the city to catch motorists who don't obey pedestrian laws. Drivers who don't stop will be ticketed.

The operation will begin on Friday at the crosswalks at Bonanza Drive, Iron Horse and Park Avenue. The police department is announcing the time and dates of the crosswalk crackdowns to promote awareness of pedestrian safety.
