Utah Jazz: You made the call
In an online poll posted June 14, the names of the 33 NBA players comprising the U.S. Select men's roster — used to determine the Olympic squad — were listed, with poll participants invited to select the 12 they would chose to play at the Beijing Olympics.
So, how did the 333 entries fare against the actual picks?
Nine of the top 12 vote-getters were actual Olympic team selections (see accompanying box), with the top five being LeBron James, Deron Williams, Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer and Chris Paul.
And the three erroneous picks? Instead of the Beijing-bound trio of Chris Bosh, Jason Kidd and Tayshaun Prince, poll participants preferred Amare Stoudemire, Paul Pierce and Lamar Odom.
