Park car if it's not insured

My father told me long ago that having a driver's license was a privilege and not a right and with that privilege came laws, and having motor vehicle insurance is one of those laws. I disagree with Kathryn van Roosendaal's (Readers' Forum, July 5) remarks that HB151 is flawed. Uninsured motor vehicle operators are great-risk drivers, to both themselves and other drivers. Today's lawyers can't wait to get someone who is at fault into court for huge settlements. If insurance is not affordable, park the vehicle and take public transportation or a taxi.
