Salesman arrested, charged
After news stories appeared on deseretnews.com and elsewhere about the cleaning-supply salesman who police alleged exposed himself to potential customers and groped a woman, investigators said other victims came forward.
The man, identified by police as 23-year-old Kenneth Dwayne Goodlow, also went to the Clearfield Police Department to speak to investigators.
"It was because of the story other victims were identified, and a criminal is now behind bars," Clearfield Assistant Police Chief Greg Krusi said in a statement Friday.
Police put out a public warning on Thursday, but they expressed frustration that none of the women who complained were willing to press charges. Other police departments soon contacted Clearfield police, concerned about Goodlow. Salem police detectives questioned Goodlow about a burglary in the Utah County town.
"After gathering information from the interviews and presenting this information to the Davis County Attorney's Office, we received their blessing in charging Mr. Goodlow with sexual battery, class A misdemeanor; and two counts of lewdness, a class B misdemeanor," Krusi said.
