A Salt Lake City utility truck traveling too fast to negotiate an on-ramp at 2300 East and I-80 Friday afternoon rolled and sparked a small grass fire when hot debris flew over a retaining wall.

Utah Highway Patrol trooper Travis Barrett said the driver of the vehicle was shaken but uninjured in the incident, which did not involve other vehicles. Barrett said a Salt Lake Fire Department crew quickly contained the small blaze .

Barret said the accident closed the ramp for about an hour and a half, creating headaches for Friday commuter traffic in the area.
