Snow was best of humanity

How do we use words to describe someone important to us who has died? Laura Mazer in her tribute to Tony Snow (July 16) expressed so beautifully the essence of the man. She described him in the last paragraph as "sweetly avuncular, empirically likable, (and) astonishingly intelligent." He was an example to me of the best of humanity. I never met him, but I will miss him.
