FRESNO, Calif. — In a game where all of the runs were scored in the first inning, the Fresno Grizzlies edged the Salt Lake Bees 3-2 on Monday night to take the rubber game of their five game series.

The Bees grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a run-scoring double by Kendry Morales and an RBI single by Dee Brown.

Fresno came back to plate three in the bottom of the first against Salt Lake starter Giancarlo Alvarado (6-4), as Giants outfielder Dave Roberts, on an injury rehab assignment opened the inning with a home run to right and Scott McClain put the Grizzlies in front with a two-run blast to left center.

The Bees had several opportunities to come back, but they grounded into three double plays. Dee Brown led off the ninth with a single and Gary Patchett bunted him to second, but the next two batters were retired to end the game. Dee Brown and Morales each had two hits and one run batted in, while Matt Brown and Freddy Sandoval added two hits apiece.

BULGER AND DUFF ACTIVATED: The Los Angeles Angels announced today that the club has activated right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger from the disabled list and activated catcher Tim Duff from the temporary inactive list. Left-handed pitcher Daniel Davidson has also been reassigned to Double-A Arkansas and catcher Alberto Rosario has been reassigned to Rancho Cucamonga.
