The Utah Highway Patrol said a Taylorsville woman died early Sunday morning in a rollover on I-215 near 1500 South.

UHP Sgt. Jeff Plank said witnesses told troopers they watched the vehicle leave the northbound lane of I-215, go down an embankment, roll across a nearby frontage road and come to a stop in an LDS church parking lot. Plank said the driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The incident, which occurred around 4 a.m., was still under investigation. The name of the driver has not been released.
