Elder D. Todd Christofferson, member of The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited Greece this spring, where the ancient apostle Paul preached.

In a video released June 4 by the LDS Church, Elder Christofferson is seen visiting church members throughout Europe.

"There are real challenges to joining and being active in the church in this day and time," he said in the video.

"I'm so proud of our missionaries and our members who persevere nonetheless. I believe that's the tradition of Paul," he said. "What a model, what an inspiration for anyone, anytime, any age."

Elder Christofferson and his wife Katherine Jacob Christofferson also visited Mars Hill where Paul once bore testimony of Christ.

"In this very place, I want to bear my witness that he lives," Elder Christofferson said. "That the resurrection is a literal fact. That he is the resurrected Lord today. And that truth means everything."
