Lee Enterprises Inc. appointed Rona Rahlf, a group leader and publisher from The Post-Star in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Rahlf replaces Craig Dennis, who has left the company.
She also serves as president of Pulitzer Utah Newspapers Inc., responsible for leading a network of weekly newspapers, specialty publications and online operations.
Previously, Rahlf was publisher for two years at The Montana Standard in Butte as part of a 21-year career at Lee Enterprises.
The Daily Herald says it has a daily circulation of 33,000 and 39,000 on Sundays.
Lee Enterprises owns 50 daily newspapers in midsize U.S. markets.
