PAGE, Ariz. — Searchers on Thursday found the body of a 19-year-old man who fell off a boat and disappeared nearly three weeks ago.

Accident victim Luke Rogers, of Seattle, had been standing on the bow seat of a runabout boat when he fell overboard and disappeared Sept. 20, according to a Glen Canyon statement. Searchers deployed divers, side-scan sonar and an underwater robot near Gregory Butte in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in their efforts to locate the body.

Rogers' body floated to the surface in the search area, according to the statement. It appears he suffered a fatal head wound when he was struck by the boat.

About 35 people from various agencies joined in the search to locate Roger's body in an underwater search that covered 183 acres, according to the statement.
