Police investigating a shooting early Saturday morning near 946 S. Navajo found bullet casings and bullet holes, but no smoking gun or shooter.

According to police reports, officers checked out the area after receiving reports of shots being fired in the area around 3:20 a.m. Police found bullet casings in front of the house and two bullet holes in the driver's side of a vehicle.

But the owner of the car told police he hadn't heard any shots and had no idea who might have fired at his car.
