SALT LAKE CITY — Two years after opening a new nursing school, University of Utah officials Friday announced reaching a fundraising goal of $24 million for the new building.
With the building campaign wrapped up, the college now moves into the second phase of its capital campaign — a $9.5 million initiative to recruit and retain more faculty, further develop the program, expand services to the community, and provide additional scholarships and fellowships to increase access to the available programs.
The school recently received five- and 10-year accreditation for its bachelor's, master's and doctorate nursing programs. It also has climbed in national surveys from 28th to the 16th top school for National Institutes of Health research funding in the country.
