I was browsing my new Xbox Live dashboard, poking around, making my avatar grumpy and dizzy when I discovered a free download called, "The Guild." I learned today that it only became available yesterday for the first time so I lucked out and found it immediately I guess.
After one episode I knew I would watch more and before I knew it, I had downloaded and watched all ten "Season 1" episodes. It is gaming gold because of its simplicity and because it catches the gaming culture perfectly.
The cursing on Xbox Live is bleeped out but I discovered today on YouTube it is in full effect. Season 2 has one episode so far and picks up where season 1 left off.
The official website is www.watchtheguild.com and if you go there and watch the tease for season 2, all the season 1 episodes are easily playable. Free and great and bleeped.
Personally, I want a 30-minute weekly sitcom with the very charming cast, led by Felicia Day who did some work on "Buffy" episodes and wrote the thing which is what I admire most about it. She tells short, quick, funny stories, all part of the longer 10-story arc. Good stuff. Anyway, Xboxers and YouTubers (remember the language warning for sensitive viewers) stop reading and get watching!
