Y. graduate student is top entrepreneur
PROVO A graduate student was awarded $25,000 for being named Student Entrepreneur of the Year at Brigham Young University Friday.
Adam Edmunds, the only graduate student participating in the business competition, won the award for designing a computer software system called SilentWhistle. The program allows companies to gather information and suggestions from the public, vendors and employees.
Edmunds said he plans to be involved with SilentWhistle, which is based in Sandy, for another three to five years before developing another program and franchise.
