SALT LAKE CITY — The body of a Utah girl missing after the catastrophic tsunami in south Asia has been found.

The father and sister of Kali Breisch, a sophomore at Skyline High School in the Salt Lake area, recognized their loved one from a picture on a bulletin board in Thailand.

The board had been filled with pictures of tsunami victims so they could be recognized by relatives or rescuers. Cameras from ABC's Good Morning America were there when Kali's older sister recognized Kali from among the dozens of pictures. The footage was shown Monday on U.S. television.

Kali Breisch's father and older sister had spent five days combing the country's beachside. But they broke off the search to be with her brother Jai, who is recovering in Bangkok after suffering a deep cut on his leg and a separated shoulder.

The family was vacationing in Thailand when the tsunami hit Dec. 26. Kali and Jai were in a bungalow on the beach that was knocked down by a huge wave, throwing the boy against a tree.

He was found and taken to the hospital, but Kali had not been seen since.

The quake and the resulting wave killed at least 140,000 in south Asia, but the number was expected to rise.
