Veterans to rally for flag protection

Military veterans and other Utahns plan to rally at the Utah Capitol on Monday to support a constitutional amendment banning desecration of the American flag.

The event, including a press conference, will begin at 10 a.m. in the Capitol courtyard between the governor's offices and the Senate and House chambers.

The group is calling for the passage of a federal amendment banning flag burning and other disrespectful actions toward the flag.
