New council member chosen in Cedar Hills
CEDAR HILLS — Gary Maxwell was chosen Tuesday night as Cedar Hills' newest city council member.
Maxwell replaces Darin Lowder, who resigned his position in September because of a change in his job requirements. Lowder said he would be required to travel more and would not be able to attend a significant number of council meetings as a result of his job.
Maxwell will fill the remainder of Lowder's term which ends Dec. 31, 2007. He could seek formal election to the council in the 2007 municipal elections. Maxwell has lived in Cedar Hills for six years and most recently served a year on the city's planning commission.
