PROVO — United Way of Utah County is looking for help with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. VITA volunteers will help low-income families prepare income taxes. Volunteers are needed to be site coordinators, tax preparers, receptionists and financial educators. No prior experience is required, and training is provided. For more information, contact Jeri at 374-2588.

Other volunteer opportunities highlighted this week include the following. For a complete list of volunteer needs contact the United Way of Utah County Volunteer Center, 374-8108.

The Alpine House is serving Christmas dinner on Christmas Day to its residents and needs volunteers to help. Groups of up to five people are welcome to help serve dinner, play games, decorate cookies and participate in other activities with the residents. For more information, contact JaNae Hopoate at 885-5982.

Community Action Services hosts activities each week to encourage positive behavior in at-risk teens. Volunteers are needed to gather treats and make bags to give the teens at holiday parties.
