Colorado fest to show Utah film
PROVO A documentary that examines prescription drug abuse in Utah has been accepted at the Breckenridge Festival of Film in Colorado.
The film, "Happy Valley," was one of 41 accepted to be screened at the June 8-10 festival.
"Happy Valley," created and directed by Ron Williams, follows several people who have been affected by drug abuse and addiction in a community that often denies these problems exist.
The film began when Williams, a full-time single father, was seeking to reunite his daughter with her addicted mother.
Proceeds from "Happy Valley" will go to willing participants for rehabilitation. To view the trailer or for information on recovery, visit www.HappyValleyTheMovie.com.
