A man who calls himself the "king of child pornography" has been sentenced to serve 10 years in federal prison.

Kirk Alan Swearingen was sentenced Monday to 10 years in federal prison and to supervised release for the remainder of his life.

Swearingen, 45, was arrested by FBI agents when he gave a sstolen Social Security number while trying to rent an apartment in Salt Lake City. The number belonged to a 91-year-old man.

During questioning, Swearingen gave agents another fake identity. After threatening to run his finger prints, Swearingen admitted he was a fugitive who had been on the run for 22 years, even having been profiled on "America's Most Wanted."

Agents discovered warrants in several states for child sex offenses, including Iowa, South Dakota and New Mexico. He also has a prior 1983 conviction for a sex offense against a child.

In a plea bargain reached last February, Swearingen plead guilty to one count of activities involving material containing child pornography.
