—Yao Ming, Rockets, finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds in Houston's 92-77 win over Cleveland.

A DECADE LATER ...

Chicago defeated Golden State 114-108 on Thursday to win in Oakland for the first time in nine tries since Jan. 30, 1998, during Michael Jordan's final season with the club. The Bulls played the game without Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich, three of their top four scorers.

SIX IN A ROW

Philadelphia downed Miami 101-84 on Thursday, handing the Heat (9-39) their sixth straight loss and 21st in their last 22 games. It was the second losing effort in two days for Miami and came just over 24 hours after the Heat traded Shaquille O'Neal to Phoenix.

BACK WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Chris Webber had four points and two assists in 12 minutes in Golden State's 114-108 loss to Chicago on Thursday, his first game with the Warriors since the former No. 1 overall draft pick forced a trade after his rookie season more than 13 years ago.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

LeBron James scored 32 points on 12-for-23 shooting in Cleveland's 92-77 loss to Houston on Thursday. The Cavaliers, who were outrebounded 55-35, had won 11 of their previous 13 games. ... Monta Ellis had 25 points in Golden State's 114-108 loss to Chicago.

OUT

Houston guard Steve Francis will have season-ending surgery to repair a torn quadriceps tendon in his right knee, but expects to play again next season. Francis hasn't played since Dec. 15 and has appeared in only 10 games this season, averaging 5.5 points and three assists. The team said Francis will have surgery Feb. 25.

WAIVED

Chicago waived forward Viktor Khryapa on Thursday and reached a settlement on the remainder of his contract. The 6-foot-9 Khryapa averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in nine games this season. He played 33 games for the Bulls last season.
