Ingredients
3 2-pound packages frozen hash browns
1 No. 5 can sour cream
1 No. 5 can cream of chicken soup
pinch salt
3 cups cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup onions, diced
1 cube margarine
Directions
Dump two bags of hash browns into a 14-inch frying pan. Add diced onions and 1 cup of grated cheese. Add salt and pepper. Mix together 1 cube margarine, soup and sour cream. Dump this mixture onto the hash browns and mix together with your hands. Add third bag of hash browns and continue mixing, making sure sides of the pan are continually wiped off.
Cook for 1 1/2 hours over 350-degree heat. This holds very well and can be kept in a packer for long periods of time. Serves 35.
