Sugared Corn

Ingredients

3 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Heat oil in a 4- to 5-quart pan over medium heat until hot. Add popcorn and sprinkle sugar over it. Cover (with lid slightly ajar) and shake continuously until popped. Makes about 8 cups.


Directions

Variation: Sprinkle with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon after popping and toss well.
