Slytherin (Snake) Sandwich
Ingredients
1 loaf French or Italian bread, cut into 1-inch slices
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup jam
1/3 cup marshmallow cream
2 olives
1 red bell pepper
For the filling: Beat together the peanut butter, jam and marshmallow cream.
To assemble: Form the head of the snake by layering the end piece and two slices of bread with the peanut-butter mixture. To make the eyes, cut an olive in half and attach pieces to the head with a dab of peanut-butter. Cut a forked tongue, about 2 inches long, out of the red bell pepper. Attach it to the head by cutting a small slit at the end of the loaf and inserting it. Cut two small pieces of olive for the nostrils of the snake and attach using a dab of the peanut-butter mixture.
Use remaining bread and peanut-butter mixture to make individual sandwiches.
Create the snake by placing the head on a platter and arranging the sandwiches in a wavy pattern behind it.
Directions
Tip: More peanut butter can be used to stick the snake in place if needed.
