Impossible Ham 'N' Swiss Pie

Ingredients

No pie shell? No problem. This recipe is similar to quiche Lorraine, but it makes its own crust during baking.

2 cups smoked ham, diced
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (about 4 ounces)
1/2 cup chopped green onion (or white onion)
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1/2 teaspoon salt, if desired
1/2 teaspoon pepper


Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 10-by-1 1/2-inch pie pan or plate. Sprinkle ham, cheese, and onion in pan. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into pan. Bake until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Serves 6.
