Peanut Butter Snackers
Author: Christine Fazulyanov, Cedar Hills
Ingredients
2 cups powdered sugar
1 stick margarine
1 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky
1 12-ounce package butterscotch chips
1 12-ounce box Crispix cereal
Directions
Place powdered sugar in a large paper grocery bag. Set aside.
Combine margarine, peanut butter and butterscotch chips in a medium sauce pan. Heat until melted and well-mixed. Place cereal in a very large bowl. Pour hot mixture over cereal and stir to coat well. Pour entire mixture into bag with powdered sugar. Fold down top of bag and shake. Open bag carefully and check to see if cereal is coated. If not, fold down and shake again. Spread cereal out on a large cookie sheet. Allow to dry. Store in a sealed container. Makes about 20 snack portions.
