Orange Roll French Toast

Ingredients

1 Rhodes Anytime orange roll, unbaked
1 egg
1 tablespoon half-and-half cream
1 tablespoon warm orange frosting from package
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1 pinch of salt
1/4 cup chopped, canned mandarin oranges

Thaw orange roll. Preheat a 5-inch nonstick skillet on low heat. Whisk egg, cream, frosting, almond extract and salt. Stir in mandarin oranges. With kitchen scissors, cut orange roll into pieces directly into egg mixture and stir. Pour mixture into skillet, cover and cook on low 8 minutes. Remove cover, turn toast over, cover and cook on low 2 more minutes. Serve warm with butter, powdered sugar or other topping. Serves 1 or 2.


Directions

Option: Use a cinnamon roll and chopped apples instead of oranges.
