Spicy Black-Bean Soup with Bacon

Ingredients

4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 7-ounce box instant black beans
1 15-ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup chunky salsa
1/4 cup (1 ounce) bagged or jarred crumbled bacon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper


Directions

Bring the broth to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in the instant black beans, canned black beans and salsa. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in bacon, salt and pepper and heat through. Makes 4 servings.
