Apple Crumble

Ingredients

Apple filling:
4 firm, tart apples, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 stick melted butter
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup flour


Directions

In a bowl, mix together all the filling ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix together all the topping ingredients. In a rectangular baking dish, press a light layer of the topping into the bottom. Spread all the filling on top. Next add the rest of the topping to cover all the filling. Cover the pan with foil and bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Remove the cover and bake for another five minutes or so to brown the top of the dish. Serve at room temperature. Makes about six servings.
