Granola Bars

Ingredients

Yield: 40 (depending on size of bar)

3 cups rolled oats
3 cups rolled wheat
1 cup nonfat dry milk
1 1/2 cups coconut
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup walnuts, broken in pieces
1 cup cashews
1 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup chopped raisins
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup canola oil
1 cup honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice


Directions

In a large pan, mix together oats, wheat, nonfat milk, coconut, wheat germ, walnuts, cashews, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins and dates. Set aside. Mix together canola oil, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Warm this mixture on stove and pour over dry ingredients, mixing well. Press into a large cake pan and bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour until golden brown. Cut into granola bars and dust with powdered sugar.

Each serving contains 235 calories, 14g fat, 26g carbs, 75mg sodium, 0mg cholesterol, 49% calories from fat.
