Apple Custard Tart

Ingredients

Yield: 8 servings

For pie:
1 unbaked 9-inch or 10-inch pie shell
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 medium Golden Delicious apples, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon margarine

For glaze:
1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

To prepare pie:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake pie shell for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. In bowl, beat sour cream, milk, apple juice concentrate, egg, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour into pie shell and bake 30 minutes or until set. Cool. In a skillet, cook apples in margarine until tender-crisp. Arrange on top of tart. Drizzle with glaze.


Directions

To prepare glaze:

In a small pan, combine 1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed, 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix well and cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
