Graduation Punch

Ingredients

Yield: 42 5-ounce servings (punch cups), or nearly 2 gallons

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 46-ounce cans pineapple juice
1 2-liter bottle 7-Up
1 pint cranberry juice cocktail
1 quart raspberry sherbet (or more, if desired)
Pineapple chunks, for garnish
Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish


Directions

Have all ingredients well-chilled. Dissolve sugar in lemon juice in punch bowl. Blend in pineapple juice, cranberry juice and 7-Up. Add sherbet, stirring until softened and partially dissolved. Garnish bowl with pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries strung on decorative toothpicks, if desired. Add sprigs of fresh mint for garnish.
